The Farie Geretti
(*) The Fari Geretti is part of the tradition of family-run workshops where the secrets of the trade are handed down from father to son. Precisely by his father Pietro, Antonio Geretti (Cividale del Friuli 1904-1982), he inherited the activity and initially learned the art of working the metal with creativity and attention to the technical tradition, to then refine his skills attending the School of Arts and Crafts. of the Society of Mutual Aid and Education of Cividale.
In his workshop are the tools, many of which are personalized by Antonio himself, suitable for all stages of processing, from the concept process to the final creation. Preparatory drawings, hammers, punches, burins, tongs, anvils, plaster casts up to the samples of the works, are the expression of the forge and the soul of its owner, who dedicated all his life, with skill and inventive passion , to this profession. Today the forge is open to the public thanks to the Society of Mutual Aid and Education of Cividale and the Municipality of Cividale in agreement with the heirs.
